Clinical pilates is an invigorating form of exercise which incorporates general fitness, all round body conditioning and well being.
It is suitable for both men and women of any age.
Clinical pilates is an effective treatment and rehabilitation tool for patients with a history of back, neck and joint pain. Pilates can be used for pain management, postural correction, core and lower-back strengthening, improving flexibility and restoring balance and co-ordination.
Classes are delivered by a highly qualified and experienced graduate Sports Therapist.
Caroline keeps her classes deliberately small, a maximum of 10 participants, to ensures each member of the class receives the appropriate level of attention and support needed. Further more exercise can be tailored to address specific injury requirements and specific sporting needs.
The national institute for health and care excellence (NICE Guidelines) now recommend exercise in the management of lower-back pain.
Sessions should include aerobic activity, movement instruction, muscle strengthening, postural control and stretching, all of which are included in a clinical pilates class.
Beginners clinical pilates is different from many forms of exercise. To ensure you exercise safely and effectively and therefore achieve measurable benefits it is import that all new students are screened to assess their capabilities, potential contraindications / injuries and medical conditions.
You will be taught the key principles of clinical pilates in which you will lean in standing and lying postures, lateral breathing and correct core engagement needed during classes.
